Terms of Use

Chaos Clean-Up moves and organizes files on your computer, at your direction. It is built to be safe — but your files are yours, and so is the responsibility for them.

What the app does

Chaos Clean-Up sorts, de-duplicates, and merges files within folders you choose. It is designed to never delete or overwrite anything: duplicates are flagged or set aside, never erased. Nothing moves until you review a preview and click Apply, and every action is reversible with Undo.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for your own files. While the app is built to be non-destructive and reversible, you should keep backups of anything important or irreplaceable, as you would before any tool reorganizes your data. Use Preview before applying, especially on folders that matter.

"As is"

The software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silicon Scaffolding is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the software.

Purchases

Chaos Clean-Up offers a free trial, followed by a one-time purchase to unlock continued use. Purchases are processed by the Microsoft Store under Microsoft's terms, including its refund policy. There is no subscription.

Acceptable use

Use Chaos Clean-Up only on files and folders you have the right to manage. Do not use it to violate anyone else's rights or any applicable law.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date.
